A BOMB squad raced to Oxford today. 

It was after the discovery of a possible unexploded WW2 ordnance at around 11.45am on Abingdon Road. 

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) attended and following an examination concluded that it was not a bomb and posed no threat to the public. 

Officers left the scene by 2pm.
