A NEW digital guide is aiming to attract visitors back to Oxfordshire as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.

Experience Oxfordshire has launched the publication, The Oxfordshire Hospitality Guide, and businesses can apply for free to be a part of it.

The guide will showcase places to eat and drink across Oxford and the wider county, providing information on what venues are open.

All hospitality businesses in Oxfordshire that are open to the public can claim a free listing in the new guide.

Hayley Beer-Gamage, chief executive of Experience Oxfordshire, said: “We are pleased to announce this new publication for Oxford and Oxfordshire.

“The hospitality sector has been severely impacted by the pandemic and the guide demonstrates our commitment to support local businesses through recovery.

“As restrictions ease, we want to promote the fantastic hospitality venues we have across the county and encourage visitors to book.

“We are committed to working with businesses to help Oxfordshire thrive again.”

The guide will be available online via the Experience Oxfordshire website as well as its social media channels.

Experience Oxfordshire says this will give a potential reach for hospitality businesses of over two million people per year.

Businesses in Oxfordshire that are open to the public and has a food or beverage offering are invited to get a listing in the guide.

This includes, but is not limited to, pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, hotels, attractions and takeaways.

Experience Oxfordshire is the official destination management organisation for the county.

From Monday, indoor hospitality will reopen, in addition to hotels, hostels and B&Bs, and entertainment venues like cinemas and children’s play areas.

That signals the third step in Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown.

By the fourth step, which will take place no earlier than 21 June, the Government plans on removing all legal limits on social contact.
