FIVE tonnes of rubbish were dumped on a road in Oxford as firefighters tackled a blaze.
White Watch at Rewley Road station attended the incident after the contents of a recycling truck caught fire.
On arrival, the crew pushed out the piles of rubbish on the ground to prevent the lorry becoming fully involved.
They then turned over approximately five tonnes of recycling to ensure all hotspots were extinguished.
In a post on Facebook this morning, the crew said: "Thanks to the recycling crew for their assistance and to the public in the area for their patience while the incident was resolved."
