A DRIVER stopped for doing 32mph over the speed limit tested positive for cocaine.
Specialist officers stopped a vehicle in St Cross Road earlier today during a speed enforcement shift.
It had been travelling at 72mph along the road.
Winchester Cops tweeted: "Hampshire Specials conducted speed enforcement on St Cross Road this evening in response to community concerns.
"A vehicle stopped for doing 72 in a 40 turned out to not have a valid MOT and the driver tested positive for cocaine at the roadside - now off for a blood test."
The Chronicle has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for more information.
