Author Susie Stead with her book
Local author Susie Stead will be signing her new book Stephen From The Inside Out at Blackwell’s bookshop on Sunday between 2pm and 4pm.
The book won the Impress Prize for New Writers.
Ms Stead said: “It is a quirky biography about someone I met while he was under section on a psychiatric ward and who late in life was diagnosed as autistic.”
She will be joined by award-winning local author and poet Kate Clanchy who mentored her.
Ms Clanchy, who has an MBE for services to literature, received the 2020 Orwell Prize for her book Some Kids I Taught And What They Taught Me.
