A MAN was found lying on the ground with a serious head injury after going for a walk with his partner. 

The couple were walking home along Sideleigh Road, Bodicote at around 10.30pm on Sunday. 

She was walking ahead and lost sight of him so retraced her steps.

But when she found him, he was on the floor with a serious unexplained head injury. 

It is believed two men were seen running away towards East Street but no descriptions are available.

Police investigators believe an altercation took place which led to the victim’s injuries. 

Officer PC Bethany Foster, based at Banbury police station, said: “We believe that the victim has been injured during an assault.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who may have any information about this incident to come forward. You can get in touch by making a report online or by calling 101 and quoting reference number 43210187825.”
