FIREFIGHTERS were called to a tree fire at Badbury Woods in Faringdon this morning after a person discovered the blaze while on a walk.
Crews from Faringdon and Carterton stations attended the scene and using a tank of water and cutting into the tree, they were able to stop the smouldering to other areas.

The blaze is believed to have started from a camp fire which was left unattended.
