Oxford educated Emerald Fennell won Best Original Screenplay for Promising Young Woman at the Oscars on Sunday.
The 35-year-old actress and writer, who is expecting her second child, was eight months' pregnant with her son when she completed filming Promising Young Woman which she also directed.
It starred Carey Mulligan who was nominated for Best Actress.
Ms Fennell, who studied English at Greyfriars, starred in Call The Midwife and as Camilla Parker Bowles in Netflix hit The Crown.
She also wrote episodes of dark comedy Killing Eve.
Also nominated were Judas and the Black Messiah, Minari, Sound of Metal and The Trial of the Chicago 7.
