YOBS in Barton spat and shouted at a man walking past a chip shop.

Between 8.30pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday (April 2), the 62-year-old man was walking in Underhill Circus when a group of young people started being abusive towards him.

They pushed a bike at him and kicked his shopping bag, which aids his mobility.

Thames Valley Police is now investigating the hate crime and is hunting for the youngsters involved.

One of them is described as a white teenage boy, who is around 5ft 8ins tall.

He has loose blonde curly hair and is a medium build.

At the time he was wearing dark clothing. Investigating officer PC Jon Kelly, based at St Aldates Police Station said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or recognises the description above, to please get in touch.

“You can make a report online or by calling 101 and quoting reference 432101694428. “If you wish to remain 100% anonymous you can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
