A cast of famous characters took part in a pram race around North Leigh, near Witney.
They included Princess Diana, Prince William and two Hilda Ogdens, from Coronation Street.

They were Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies in fancy dress joining in an afternoon of It’s a Knockout fun at the village school in 1986.

As in the TV show, the boys and girls challenged each other in a series of competitions, giving plenty of amusement to spectators.
The boys won the tug-of-war, but the girls were declared the overall winners, clinching victory in the final event – the tent erecting contest.
