A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was the victim of a hit-and-run outside the train station.

At around 4pm on April 1, the boy was riding his bike in the direction of Sainsbury's towards Didcot Railway Station when he was hit by a car.

The driver of the Black Renault did not stop at the scene.

The boy was left with minor injuries and didn't go to hospital, but officers are now hunting for the driver of the 'traumatic incident'.

Enquiry officer, Roger Gilbert, of Headquarters North, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, whereby a young boy has been involved in a collision with a car that did not stop at the scene.

“Thankfully he did not sustain serious injuries and did not require hospital treatment, however this was still a traumatic incident for him.

“I am appealing to any witnesses in the area that may have seen this incident, or any motorists in the area that may have a dash-cam. Please review the footage in case anything significant was picked up on it.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting 43210138125. You can also report online, or anonymously by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
