OXFORDSHIRE is one of the fast-growing areas for housing developments in the UK.

That’s according to new research from Protrade Tools and Fixings which have looked through data analysing domestic housing construction completed from 2019 to 2020 across the local authorities.

The data reveals that the Vale of White Horse was the fourth fastest-growing area in the UK after 1,475 new homes were built.

Just behind in ninth place is West Oxfordshire where 1,039 new homes were built in the year.

Here’s the table, based on the percentage of growth for each area, written in brackets:

  1. Brent: 4,329 new houses (3.59percent)
  2. Bracknell Forest: 1,569 new houses (3.13percent)
  3. Salford: 3,511 new houses (2.94percent)
  4. Vale of White Horse: 1,475 new houses (2.51percent)
  5. Tower Hamlets: 2,953 new houses (2.43percent)
  6. South Derbyshire: 1,033 new houses (2.28percent)
  7. Wokingham: 1,543 new houses (2.25percent)
  8. Basingstoke and Deane: 1,710 new houses (2.25percent)
  9. West Oxfordshire: 1,039 new houses (2.12percent)
  10. Ribble Valley: 575 new houses (2.10percent)
