PARKING plans have been unveiled in response to the construction of a new access road next to a big development in South Oxfordshire.

Oxfordshire County Council is now proposing 'No Waiting At Any Time' or double yellow lines to be implemented on the south-eastern side of Greenwood Avenue in the village of Chinnor, southwest of Glimbers Grove.

The proposal is being put forward to stop parked vehicles obstructing visibility at the new junction and restricting the passage of traffic.

This follows concerns from the council about the safety at the junction for all road users.

If approved, this would be for 43 metres either side of the new access road (86 metres in total), covering the approximate frontages of numbers nine to 25.

The county authority launched an online consultation to get residents' opinions last week.

This will be opened until 3pm on Friday, April 30.

People are now urged to formally share their objections and complete the questionnaire for the proposal.
