POLICE have reported an increase in thefts from sheds and garages.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) said that there has been an increase in reported thefts and attempted thefts from sheds and garages in Headington.

The force advised to:
- Never leave your garage or shed door unlocked if you are not around
- Not give thieves the opportunity or the tools to commit a crime
- Lock everything away securely. Tools can be locked inside a locker, box or secured with a chain
- Secure your bike to the ground or a lockable stand within a locked shed or garage.
Police also said that property marking items is advisable, and some tools can be painted with your name or postcode.
