A sustainability project at RAF Brize Norton has won a prestigious award from the MOD.
Sgt Ryan Duffy won the Individual Achievement Award in the Sanctuary Awards which aim to make Defence more environmentally friendly.
Since 2018 Sgt Duffy has been on a mission to reduce plastic waste at the base. He campaigned for a ban on single-use water bottle and coffee cups and took the lead on work to replace air cargo pallet bags with a recyclable carbon neutral version.
The switchover has prevented 10.5 tonnes of plastic waste going to landfill.
