BLUSTERY weather is to hit Oxfordshire this week with a yellow weather warning issued for wind.

Strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption to the county.

Wind gusts will reach 40mph on Wednesday and 48mph on Thursday.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, meaning some delays to transport is expected, a short term loss of power and other services is possible and some bus and train services will be affected, with some journeys taking longer.

The warning is in place from 9pm on Wednesday until 3pm on Thursday.
