Police have released CCTV footage of a man officers would like to speak to following a bike theft in Oxford.

At around 5.25am on Sunday January 31 a bike was stolen from a bike rack on Silver Road.

The offender then walked off with the bike down Howard Street in the direction of Iffley Road.

A metallic grey, fixed gear Aventon bike with a black rear wheel and pink front wheel was stolen.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Lee Dix, based at St Aldates police station, said: “I am appealing for the public’s help in identifying the man in this CCTV image, as I believe he may have vital information in relation to this incident.

“If you recognise this man, believe it might be you or have any information, please get in touch with Thames Valley Police by making a report online or calling us on 101 quoting reference number 43210042066."
