A SUCCESSFUL winter appeal has helped raise £2,100 to provide help for people in a refugee camp in Oxford’s twin city.
The charity, Oxford Ramallah Friendship Association (ORFA) made it its mission to support families coping with the pandemic at Am’ari refugee camp in Ramallah, Palestine which was created in 1949.

The money has been used to buy olive oil, winter clothes and blankets.
ORFA worked with the Women’s Centre, a key democratic and non-aligned institution in Am’ari camp.
Staff at the Women’s Centre said: “We thank Oxford Ramallah Friendship Association for the help and support since in Am’ari camp health is going down because of the rise in the number of infected people.”
