OXFORD MAGISTRATES’ COURT

DAVID BARTLETT, 38, of Bretch Hill, Banbury, admitted travelling on Chiltern Railways without paying a fare of £85 on September 9, 2019 from London Marylebone to Banbury. He was fined £400, ordered to pay compensation of £85, a victim surcharge of £40 and court costs of £400.

JUSIN BOURTON, 39, of The Hawthorns, Abingdon, admitted driving at 150mph in a 70mph zone on the A34 in Drayton on May 9. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £90. He was also disqualified from driving for 28 days.

VICTORIA MASEY, 52, of Churchill Place, Yarnton, admitted driving at 81mph in a 50mph zone on July 7 at Christchurch. She was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £90. Her driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

JAMES WILLIAM CAIRNS, 35, of Tennyson Drive, Abingdon, admitted driving without third party insurance on the A4130 towards the A34 in Didcot on July 13. He was fined £360, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £36 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points. He was not given a ‘totting disqualification’ because he would ‘lose employment, would be unable to support parents and take them to medical appointments’.

JAMES DORAN, 30, of Millmoor Crescent, Eynsham, admitted driving without insurance on November 12, 2019 in Kelmscott, Oxfordshire. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for two months.

HALLAM COZIER, 19, of London Road, Wheatley, admitted driving without third party insurance and drink-driving on Windmill Lane, Wheatley on December 24. He had 48mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mcg. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £40. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

DAVID PAINTIN, 40, Of Banbury Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a wallet, including £500 in cash and cards, as well as pair of gloves from a car parked on Oliver Road on January 23. He also admitted stealing alcohol, costing £51.50, from Tesco on Cowley Road on January 12 and a wallet, containing £60, from a jacket on Stansfeld Place on November 10. He was also sentenced for two counts of fraud by false representation on January 24 and between January 23 and 24 at Cowley Service Station on Garsington Road. He was jailed for 20 weeks because of his ‘persistent’ dishonesty. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128.

ROBERT STOKES, 41, of no fixed abode, admitted being in possession of Psilocin and cocaine, class A drugs, as well as Alprazolam, a class C drug, and cannabis, a class B drug on January 22 in South Leigh. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85. He must also forfeit the drugs to be destroyed.

EUGEN COMAN, 32, of Pinnocks Way, Botley, admitted being in possession of a black handled kitchen knife on December 26. He was fined £875, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88 and court costs of £85. He must also forfeit the knife to be destroyed.

DIMITRISS ROMANUKS, 35, of Clarks Row, St Aldates, admitted failing without a reasonable excuse to comply with the supervision requirements by behaving in an ‘unacceptable manner’ between January 15 and January 23 after being released from prison. He was sent to prison for 14 days because of his ‘persistent breach of court orders’.

SAMIR GAID, 47, of Headley Way, Oxford, was convicted of omitting a material particular in giving information under section 57 of the Local Government Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1976. He was fined £300, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £1,500.

LUCAS SMITH, 23, of Goodrington Close, Banbury, admitted breaching a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on February 2, 2020 by failing to attend appointments on December 21, 22 and 29. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay a costs of £30.

HASAN KHAN, 28, on Havelock Road, Oxford, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis on Garsington Road on December 28. He was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

CALLUM GOMM, 22, of Sorrell Road, Blackbird Leys, admitted drug-driving on May 28 in Oxford. He had 7mcg of cannabis, a class B drug, per one litre of blood, above the legal limit of 2mcg. He also admitted driving without a licence and taking a vehicle without the owners consent in Oxford. He was sent to prison for 14 days, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

KYLE JONES, 20, of John Morris Road, Abingdon, admitted three counts of criminal damage to a vehicle on December 17 on Saxton Road, assault by beating of a woman on Saxton Road on the same day and two counts of assault by beating of a police officer at the John Radcliffe Hospital on December 18. He was made subject to a community order and must have treatment for his alcohol dependency under the direction of Turning Point for 12 months. He must also have a curfew with electronic monitoring for three months and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must pay compensation of £400.

OLIVER DANN, 18, of Garners Field, Banbury, admitted being in possession of a baton in a public place, being in possession of cannabis, a Class B drug, in Banbury on June 15. He was fined £223. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and ordered to pay court costs of £85. He must also forfeit the drugs to be destroyed.

OLIVER MAYALL, 40, of Willes Close, Faringdon, admitted using threatening behaviour to cause unlawful violence on Bennett Road, Faringdon. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £22 and court costs of £85.

MICHAEL THOMPSON, 29, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive, and insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm and distress at a police officer on August 9 in Abingdon. He was made subject to a community order and must be under electric curfew for four weeks. He must also pay compensation of £100.

TAREK AHMED, 51, of Saxton Road, Abingdon, admitted driving without third party insurance on August 21 in Abingdon. She was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
