THE POLICE have warned anybody thinking of going to an illegal gathering in Abingdon today.
Writing on Facebook, officers based in the South Oxon and the Vale of White Horse areas said there are 'aware' of the 'planned event'.
They said: "We would like to remind the public of the current coronavirus legislation, and we will respond to any unlawful activity and enforce the law fairly and appropriately.

"The government has been clear that they do not want large gatherings of people in public places as this poses a significant risk of transmission."
Current lockdown rules stop anybody from meeting up socially and in large groups.
Two people from two households can only meet up outside for exercise.
