A HOMEBUILDER has donated 30 of ‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’ books to a primary school.
David Wilson Homes gave children at Tower Hill Primary School in Witney the book which tells the story of a Syrian refugee in London and centres on the importance of friendship and encourages children not to fear those who are different.
The donation came as schools had to close at the end of the summer term due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Paul Thomas, head teacher at Tower Hill Primary School, said: “Reading is fundamental to children’s ability to be able to access the curriculum.
"At this time of tight budget restrictions for schools it’s great that a local company is supporting schools by supplying us with these much needed resources”.
