TRADING standards are urgently recalling this electric scooter that 'could catch fire'.

Oxford Mail:

The Isinwheel folding scooter, which is made in China, is thought to be a ‘serious risk’ and does not meet the requirements of the ‘Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009’.

It is understood that the scooter arrives with a fully charged lithium-ion battery which is connected.

But when the handlebars are folded the sharp edges inside can sheer the wiring causing the circuit to combust and catch fire.

The battery is made by the brand JETECH.

Trading Standards are confirming the measures that need to be taken to businesses that have purchased them.
