INVESTIGATIONS into the death of five people will be held at Oxford Coroners' Court this week.
From 10am today, the coroner will carry out the investigation into the death of:
- Val Warren, 65, from Witney, who died on December 24, 2019 in the Churchill Hospital
From 12pm on Wednesday, the coroner will open the inquest, out of court, into the death of:
- Syed Hossain, 86, from Oxford, who died on February 11 in the John Radcliffe Hospital
From 10am on Thursday, the pre-inquest review will be opened into the death of:
- Helyn Ward-Ackland, 55, from Witney, who died on June 13 in Witney
Inquests will also be held into the deaths of:
- Karl Grimsey, 55, from Bicester, who died on September 18 in the John Radcliffe Hospital
- Sylvia Fowler, 83, from Faringdon, who died on September 13 in the Great Western Hospital
An inquest will be heard when somebody died from an unnatural cause.
The coroner investigations aim to answer four questions: who the person was, how, when and where they died.
