Police were this morning continuing to search for a man who threatened an officer with a gun in Didcot.
Two schools, St Birinus and Willowcroft, were 'locked down' for a short time yesterday for pupils' safety after the man fled from police.
He had been spotted driving erratically on Oxford's Eastern Bypass at 1pm yesterday, before police followed him down the A34 to Didcot.
He was stopped in Kynaston Road but then brandished a weapon at an officer and ran into Didcot cemetery.
This morning police spokesman Toby Shergold said there had been no arrests and police were continuing their inquiries to find the gunman.
