DRIVERS who stopped at the Oxford service station at the weekend could have been targeted by a sophisticated thief. 

Thames Valley Police had several calls about a man stealing things from parked cars at the Wheatley services, on the M40, on Saturday afternoon. 

Officers said in an online alert that he had been seen 'removing property without causing any damage' to the vehicles at around 2.50pm. 

They are now looking for victims who have not yet come forward.

A 39-year-old man from Maidenhead was arrested on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles and has now been released on bail.
