36 FLOOD alerts and warnings have been issued across Oxfordshire this morning.

Residents have been urged to take 'immediate action' to protect their property and family from rapidly-rising floods in Oxfordshire today. 

The Environment Agency has now issued three serious flood warnings for the county, meaning flooding is expected.

The warnings have been issued for the River Ray for Islip, River Ray from the Heath Bridge area to Otmoor Basin and River Thame at Dorchester. 

There are also 33 flood alerts in place across the county, meaning flooding is possible, they are for: 

  • Clanfield Brook
  • Ginge Brook
  • Groundwater flooding in the upper Og Valley
  • Langford and Wendlebury Brooks from Statton Audley down to near Merton 
  • Lower River Loddon
  • Lower River Loddon at the River Thames confluence at Twyford 
  • Middle Avon Rugby to Bidford
  • River Cherwell from Charwelton to just above Upper Heyford 
  • River Cherwell from Lower Heyford down to Oxford
  • River Cole and Dorcan Brook
  • River Coln 
  • River Dene 
  • River Evenlode from Moreton in Marsh to Cassington 
  • River Kennet 
  • River Leach
  • River Ock 
  • River Pang
  • River Ray
  • River Stour 
  • River Thame and Chalgrove Brook 
  • River Thames from Calcutt to Lechlade
  • River Thames from Days Lock to above Pangbourne
  • River Thames from Buscot Wick to Kings Lock
  • River Thames in Oxford
  • River Thames in Henley, Remenham, Medmenham
  • River Thames for Shiplake, Lower Shiplake and Wargrave 
  • River Thames Abingdon
  • River Thames from Mapledurham to Sonning
  • River Thames from Pangbourne to Purley
  • River Tove in Northamptonshire
  • River Windrush from Bourton to Newbridge 
  • Sor Brook at The Bloxham Brook 
  • Upper River Great Ouse in Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire
