A 'heart-broken' husband paid tribute to his wife who was killed in a motorway pile-up.

Mother-of-two Helen Kelly, 39, of Sturt Road, Charlbury, died after a crash on the M40 involving two lorries and five cars.

Today her husband Don Kelly released a tribute to the mother-of-two.

He said: "Helen was a beautiful wife and mother to our two young sons, Daniel aged six and Luke aged four, and this tragedy has shattered our lives and left us in utter despair.

"We had hopes and dreams for the future like everybody and the pain and anguish of her senseless death will take a long time to come to terms with and even longer to heal.

"Any death is sad but for one so young with so much to live for it was especially heartbreaking and the effect of this event will cast a shadow over myself and my sons for the rest of our lives.

"Helen was and always will be loved and remembered by our family and friends."

The accident happened on November 29 between junctions 2 and 1a on the M40 in Buckinghamshire.

Mrs Kelly suffered severe head injuries and died at the Royal London Hospital later that day. Several other motorists were treated for minor injuries.

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident.
