A MOTORIST was caught driving an overweight lorry in Oxfordshire.
The vehicle was spotted by officers on the A34 near Abingdon today before being escorted to a weigh bridge.

It was found to be nine tons overweight in total and on all axles.
PC Simpkins and PC Barden issued the driver with fines and prohibited them from going any further.
HGVs that breach weight limits on roads in the county can be fined up to £1,000.
