PEOPLE across Oxfordshire woke up to snow this morning.
Yesterday the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice, lasting until 8pm today in some parts of the county.
It warned that some rural areas could 'become cut off' and temperatures would drop to below 0C.

As much as it is nice to wake up to some snow this morning across the South and Vale, we would like to remind those making an essential journey to please drive carefully on the road and to update themselves with the local travel advice 👍❄️.#HenleyNHPT pic.twitter.com/24urcFVAzu
Firefighters also warned drivers making essential journeys to take care and check their tyres before setting off.
Winter weather is tough on vehicles so it's even more important to look after them.

Check tyres have good tread – the more grip they have on the road, the safer you will be.
Adjust your driving to suit the conditions. Drive to arrive. #takeextracare #ThamesValleyRP @tvprp pic.twitter.com/j6YIIrHype
