TORRENTIAL rain across Oxfordshire brought a wet Christmas to many people, with emergency services dispatched to a number of flooded households.
Shocking aerial footage taken by Abingdon resident Sam Mitchell on Boxing Day captured the aftermath of areas badly affected by heavy floods.

Two flood warnings are still in place for the River Thames at New Botley, New and North Hinksey, Grandpont and Wolvercote in Oxford as of Monday 10.30am.
Four flood alerts also remain for the River Cherwell from Lower Heyford down to Oxford, the River Thame and Chalgrove Brook, the River Thames and its tributaries.
The Environment Agency warned that flooding of properties is still possible, especially in areas of Wolvercote closest to the river.
River levels are also expected to remain high over the coming days.
