Emergency crews from Abingdon are on site at Appleford Drive, just off Oxford Road.

Firefighters were working to limit the flooding to properties as they awaited Thames Water engineers to arrive at the site.

Oxford Mail:

A Thames Water spokesperson commented: "We are really sorry that some of our customers in Abingdon have been affected by a burst water main.

"We understand how upsetting and disruptive this can be, particularly at this time of year, and will be doing all we can to help them get their lives back to normal as quickly as possible.

"Our engineers were quickly on the scene and managed to stop the flow of water, and we are delivering bottled water to people whose supplies have been interrupted while we repair the damaged pipe."

The street borders Peachecroft Pre-School and is a well-used shortcut to Oxford Road during busy times.
