Flames had spread between two buildings and set alight a car as well as the gas supply to the property amongst other items.

Firefighters worked in heavy smoke and significant heat to prevent the blaze spreading to the two main properties, tackling it both inside and outside.

Seven breathing apparatus teams were used during the incident to bring it under control.

The occupants were able to escape from the property when the fire was discovered and were unharmed and supported by neighbours.

Six fire appliances attended at the height of the fire from Kidlington, Rewley Road Oxford (2), Bicester, Eynsham and Deddington.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but not thought to be suspicious.
