A WOMAN was raped in a park in Oxford.
The attack happened at around 7.45pm on Saturday in a play park between Bartholomew Road and Gaisford Road.
The woman - who is in her thirties - had met a man who then forced himself upon her and subjected her to a sexual assault and raped her.

The victim managed to escape and is being supported by specially trained officers.
A 35-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of rape. He remains in custody at this time.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Emilie Tomann of Force CID based at Oxford, said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation following the rape of a woman yesterday in the play park between Bartholomew Road and Gaisford Road.
“We are aware the victim and the offender are known to each other and an arrest has been made in connection with this incident.

“We are appealing for anyone who may information around this offence to please come forward.
“In particular we are aware that there may have been a dog walker in the area at the time of this sexual assault and we would very much urge them to please come forward as they may have important witness information.
