INVESTIGATIONS into the deaths of 13 people will begin at court this week. 

From 10am on Wednesday (December 16), the coroner will conclude the inquests into the deaths of: 

  • Thomas Barron, 92, who died on August 6 at the John Radcliffe Hospital 
  • Ricardo Tique, 16, who died on August 21 at the John Radcliffe Hosptial 
  • Antony Brown, 79, who died on August 29 at the John Radcliffe Hospital 
  • Matthew Hammonds, 25, who died on July 11 in Witney

At 2.15pm, inquests will be opened into the deaths of: 

  • Krzysztof Janik, 46, who died on November 30 in Oxford Youth Hostel 
  • Hilkka Helena Worrall, 74, who died on December 5 in Sobell House 

From 10am on Thursday (December 17), the inquests will also be concluded into the deaths of: 

  • John O'Connor, 52, who died on September 1 in Oxford 
  • Michael Warren, 66, who died on September 6 in Didcot 
  • James Ritchie, 22, who died on May 2 in Witney 
  • Joe Edwards, 33, who died on September 22 in Chesterton 
  • Laura Nicholaou, 55, who died on September 22 in Chinnor 
  • Richard Jordan, 54, who died on April 22 in Wallingford 
  • Julia Lyne, 71, who died on October 10 in the John Radcliffe Hospital.

An inquest aims to determine the answer to four questions: who the person was, how, when and where they died.
