One of the women at the front doesn’t look too happy but this was a party to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
The hall at West Kidlington Junior School looked a little crowded as couples tried to find room to dance.
The party was organised in 1961 by Kidlington Folk Dance Club, whose members invited dancers from Thame, Tiddington, Oxford and Sibford Gower to join them.

Office workers, housewives, engineers, research workers and a driving instructor as well as teenagers enjoyed more than two hours on the dance floor.
West Kidlington Primary and Nursery School is in Oxford Road, Kidlington.
