TWO PEOPLE have died and several others seriously injured after crashes in Oxfordshire.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning at the start of the week about the thick fog on the roads across the county

  • Woman, 70s, fighting for life in hospital 

Oxford Mail:

A Fiat driver was in hospital in critical condition after a serious crash with a yellow Mini. 

The crash happened on Monday evening when a Met Office yellow weather warning of thick fog.

Both cars were going in opposite directions on the A418 Thame Road between Tiddington and Thame.

  • Driver cut from car outside pub 

Oxford Mail:

On Tuesday morning firefighters raced to The White Hart on Burford Road, Minster Lovell, to cut a trapped driver from the car.

  • Police looking for driver of Ford Fiesta 

Oxford Mail:

Police are hunting for the driver of a Ford Fiesta. 

At around 4.50pm on Friday a black moped crashed with a grey Volkswagen Golf on Chapel Road at the junction with Church Green (pictured) in Stanford in the Vale

The driver of the Ford was at the junction 'immediately before the crash' and investigators think they saw what happened.

  • Man in hospital after head-on crash 

Oxford Mail:

A man was still in hospital with serious injuries three days after a head-on crash between a Smart Car and Mini. 

It took place on Tuesday at around 6.15pm on the B4011 Thame Road between Piddington and Boarstall in Oxfordshire.

  • Man killed in crash between lorry, van and 4X4

Oxford Mail:

A man, in his 20s,  died after a three-vehicle collision at 7.40am on Wednesday. 

The crash happened on the A361 between Burford and Lechlade, near the hamlet of Signet.

Another man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital. The third driver was not injured.

  • Firefighters rescue five people 

Oxford Mail:

FIVE people were trapped in their cars after this serious crash in Kingham.

Fire crews from Chipping Norton and Banbury arrived within minutes of the crash on Friday afternoon.

Two passengers in a Mazda and another three in a Mini Cooper needed to be cut out.

  • Man dies after minibus crash with lorry 

Oxford Mail:

A Mercedes minibus passenger has died after crashing with a MAN HGV lorry in the early hours of yesterday morning. 

Emergency services were called to the A420 (at the east of the junction with Ferham Road) at around 2am.

The man, who is in his 40s, died at the scene. The driver of the lorry suffered life-changing injures and the driver of the Mercedes suffered minor injures.
