THIEVES stole an 89-year-old woman's bank card while she was using a cash machine in Oxford.

Thames Valley Police has released a CCTV image of a man who may have important information about the theft.

The incident happened at 4.32pm on Thursday, September 17 when the elderly woman was using the ATM at the Sainsbury’s Local on Banbury Road when a man began speaking to her.

When she turned around, a second man took the bank card from the machine.

The card was then used in a pharmacy on Banbury Road and the ATM at Lloyds Bank.

Investigating officer PC Abigail Kirkham, based at Oxford police station, said: “I am releasing this image as I believe that this man may have important information about this incident.
