Police are removing vehicles and issuing tickets after complaints of cars being dumped outside Greenwoods scrap yard in Garsington.

Motorists and scrap yard staff said the neglected cars on Pettiwell caused "nightmare" parking and traffic problems and was "an accident waiting to happen”.

Scrap and parked vehicles were left along the double yellow lines making it dangerous for passing traffic.

A manager at Greenwoods, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “It is a nightmare. It is a narrow lane with a national speed limit. People are coming and just leaving their cars. We have had people who have left cars there for up to a year.”
