THE CLASSIC tale of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has been newly adapted for the stage at South Hill Park, Bracknell.

Families, including everyone from ages three and up, are invited along to enjoy the festive classic as Apollo Theatre Company give their take on the tale.

The producers promise ‘a charming and beautiful story guaranteed to entertain the whole family’ this December.

Shows will be performed across several times over three days leading up to Christmas in a safe and social-distanced way.

The story tells the traditional festive tale of Ebenezer Scrooge is the meanest, most miserable man in London. He only cares for one thing – money.

Of all the people and things Scrooge dislikes, he hates Christmas most of all.

The story leads to one Christmas Eve when Scrooge is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and yet-to-come.

They attempt to show Ebenezer Scrooge the error of his ways and teach him to learn from the past and to look ahead to become a better man.

South Hill Park theatre has spent a number of months throughout the lockdown making the venue safe for visitors and implemented all Covid-19 regulations.

For A Christmas Carol the venue has asked audience members to book online only selecting the block of seats appropriate to the size of your party. This will allow for social distancing as well as maximise the number of people who can safely watch a performance.

All audience members are required to wear a face covering or mask at all times while inside the arts centre, unless exempt.
