Figures published by NHS England show the deaths took place at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) on November 2.

Only one virus-related death had been initially announced for Monday but this has now been revised.

OUH, which also runs the Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Banbury's Horton General Hospital, recorded five deaths in October.

The most recent Covid-related deaths were on October 28 and 29.

Before that, there had been a more-than three month gap in coronavirus deaths at the trust.

Its confirmed Covid death toll is currently 189.

The most recent data on hospital activity, up to 8am on October 27, showed 25 patients at the trust being treated with Covid.
