PLATES were plastered in the lobby of a Tory MP's office by residents who were disappointed with them voting against extending free school meals for the holidays.

Around 200 plates were stuck up on the wall of Banbury and Bicester MP Victoria Prentis' office building in Deddington on Friday with messages of protest written across them.

One of the organisers, Sara Johnstone said: "I was quite upset about the Government's decision and I wanted to show how upset families are. The words draconian and insidious come to mind."

People had to write a message on a paper plate and leave it at a collection point in Banbury.

All the plates were then put up at Ms Prentis' office building.

Ms Johnstone added: "I would like to see her reverse the decision. I don't see why this is a complex decision. I'd like to see her do that but if I'm being honest, I don't think she will."
