OXFORD City Council is calling on local residents to sign up to a public panel to have their say on the issues that affect them.

Applications to join the Oxford Residents' Panel are now open.

The council said the panel aims to have a 'representative cross-section of Oxford’s residents to ensure the views of a wide range of residents are reflected in consultations and surveys that the council runs.'

The recruitment process of the Residents' Panel is handled by Ipsos MORI.

The council is now inviting residents to register their interest in joining the online panel.

Currently, there are 466 Oxford residents who are members of the Residents’ Panel and there is no fixed deadline for new applicants.

Recent surveys to the panel have included views on the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on individuals and households, the impact on residents of switching many council services online in recent months, and views on the changes introduced in the city centre recently.

The panel is free to join and those wishing to apply must be a permanent resident of Oxford and at least 16.
