SELF-PROCLAIMED pioneers of 'Covid-19-secure' events are set to throw Oxordshire's biggest bonfire and fireworks display.
Hundreds of people have already bought tickets for the two shows in Abingdon Airfield on November 14 and 15, organised by Xplosive Events.
While a number of events like the popular South Park fireworks display in Oxford were cancelled due to the soaring number of Covid-19 cases in the county, the Abingdon Bonfire & Fireworks is still going ahead.

The extravaganza is set to feature an enormous bonfire, hot air balloons, low noise fireworks display for children followed by an 'unforgettable' fireworks and music show.
According to Xplosive, this will be the largest display of its type in Oxfordshire this November.
Organisers confirmed that people arriving in their cars will be able to park for free and visitors were urged to bring along chairs, blankets and wrap up warm.
