AN MP made a trip to a church charity shop to check how it was coping during the Covid-19 crisis.
Staff at Wantage Baptist Church's King’s Centre gift shop welcomed their local representative David Johnston for a socially-distanced visit.
The fundraising outlet, which opened more than 10 years ago, is managed by volunteers from the church and its aim is to reach out to the local community.
The store's premises are also used by the Wantage Foodbank as a drop off and distribution centre.

Over the past few months, the store saw a boom in the sales of locally made products such as wooden toys, knitted babywear, household goods and decorations and different blends of honey.
Staff at the King’s Centre also noticed a big increase in customers wanting traditional gifts that will last a good amount of time and are made from sustainable sources.
