Inquest opened into death of banker David Riddell in Sutton Courtenay

AN investment banker was found dead in an Oxfordshire village.

David Riddell, 48, was discovered in Sutton Courtenay, near Abingdon, on Wednesday, October 14.

Oxford Coroner’s Court opened an inquest into his death on Tuesday, with the full hearing set to take place on March 9.

Inquests are held to investigate deaths that are deemed to be not of natural causes.

In Oxfordshire, the hearings are held by the county coroner or his assistant at Oxford Coroner's Court next to County Hall on New Road in the city.

All hearings are held in public.
