Where is this street in Oxford?
Memory Lane contributor David Brown, who bought the picture recently, thought it was Walton Street but now has his doubts.
He would like fellow readers to help him identify it. The sign on the building on the right says ‘Frank Hicks’.
Mr Brown, of Jordan Hill, Oxford, writes: “My colleague convinced me it could not be Walton Street because of the bell tower in the background.

“I have been using that as a clue but with no success.”
The picture was one of five Oxford views he bought, the others being easily identifiable as St Aldate’s, Cornmarket Street, High Street and Turl Street. Can anyone throw any light on the mystery or does anyone else have any old pictures of the city that they need help with?
