HOUSEHOLDS are being urged to get a gas safety check before the weather gets colder.
The checks are a legal requirement that ODS, Oxford City Council’s wholly owned company, carries out on behalf of the council and its tenants.

Between July and September, ODS completed 1,945 checks across the city to make sure appliances are safe and council tenants are protected from risks arising from carbon monoxide exposure or gas explosion.
The gas safety staff maintain strict social distancing and wear protective equipment as they carry out this work, including measures to shield tenants.
