POLICE are working to find out how a person died at the railway tracks in Banbury on Friday.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police confirmed the death, saying officers were called to the line at Banbury railway station at 7.27am, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
The spokesperson said that paramedics also attended but a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are now working to identify the person and establish the full circumstances behind their death.
A witness said that there were major disruptions to timetables while police and emergency services attended the scene.
She added that the body had been ‘dragged a short way along the tracks’ and was situated on the tracks adjacent to Middleton Road Bridge.
