ASKAM Village School is taking precautionary measures after an individual at the school began to show potential symptoms for Covid 19.
The Cumbria school informed a member of the public that a ‘pupil or member of staff’ that had been in close contact with their child is now showing possible signs of the illness.
The individual is currently undergoing testing.
They wish to assure parents that pupils may continue to attend class and do not need to isolate until the results of the Covid test are known.
The school have stated that the individual is self-isolating as a precautionary measure along with their entire household.
No other cases of Covid have been confirmed or suspected at the school and members of staff are doing everything they can to ensure the safety of their pupils.
