Boris Johnson has hit Hampshire for six with the new coronavirus rules this month.

As Covid rules become tighter, we are now limited to meeting in groups of six or less.

Social gatherings of more than six have been made illegal by the government since September 14, with some exceptions, amid a rise in coronavirus cases.

The law change bans groups of more than six from meeting inside or outdoors and is being enforced through a £100 fine if people fail to comply, doubling on each offence up to a maximum of £3,200.

We figured we could help with some ideas on what to do in Hampshire without breaking the rules:

Go paddle boarding or kayaking in the New Forest

What better way to wind down summer and welcome the autumn than spending your weekend in the New Forest?

Clay pigeon shooting is on the list of exempted sports, however, if you are visiting a facility to shoot then the rule of six still applies.

There are a number of locations to shoot clay pigeon across Hampshire.

Clay pigeon shooting involves shooting flying clays with a shotgun and is a safe, controlled and challenging sport.

The Big Shoot in Winchester is suitable for all abilities from complete beginners to the experienced shot.

Prices start at £51.99 per person and following the latest government advice groups of five or less of mixed households, or more with the same household can book - this forms six people including the instructor.
